Get To Know Dr. Krome

Dr. Charles Krome was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland.  He earned his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Physiology from the University of Maryland. He then went on to obtain his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1999.  Dr. Krome completed his internship and residency in Family Medicine at PCOM in 2002.  He then went on to complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio in 2003.

Dr. Krome is board certified in both family medicine and sports medicine.  He specializes in the non-surgical treatment of osteoarthritis, sports and non-sports related injuries, general musculoskeletal problems of the knee, hip, shoulder and elbow, foot/ankle, hand/wrist, and spine. Dr. Krome has served as a team physician for several different high schools over the past 15 years.  He has covered mass sporting events such as the Marine Corps Marathon, participated in endurance races such as the Tough Mudder, and trained in mixed martial arts.  He has had the opportunity to lecture on the national level and appeared on the TV show “Sports Doctor” numerous times.

Dr. Krome has taken a keen interest in the field of regenerative orthopaedic medicine over the past several years. This involves using the body’s ability to generate an adequate healing response for the injury being treated. Dr. Krome had attended numerous scientific conferences and meetings on the field of regenerative medicine.

Dr. Krome and his family reside in Linwood and he is very active in the community. Interests include, fitness and weight training, mixed martial arts, sports nutrition, jogging, and coin collecting.
