Get To Know Dr. Alber
Dr. Alber received his undergraduate degree from Thomas Jefferson University in 1985. After graduating Summa Cum Laude in his class, he was accepted into the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Medical School. He graduated in 1990 with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. After finishing medical school in 1990, Dr. Alber completed both his surgical internship and residency at the UMDNJ – New Jersey Medical School, University Hospital, Newark, NJ. He completed his training in 1996 and has been in private practice since that time. Dr. Alber received his board certification by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1998 and re-certified in 2016. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a member of the New Jersey Orthopaedic Society. Dr. Alber enjoys his work in the areas of arthroscopic surgery, joint reconstruction and fracture care. Dr. Alber’s patients have been said to say, “he is a compassionate, good listener.” Dr. Alber resides in South Jersey and outside of medicine Dr. Alber enjoys time with his family, golf and water sports in the summer and skiing in the winter.
